Impressive 16th Century Spanish Walnut Table

Price on request

An impressive 16th century Spanish walnut table, circa 1580.

Whereas almost all tables of this type use four screws in total to connect the legs to the top, this example features six. This table also consists of an unusual locking system for the metal supports, which would have made it easier to fold the table down for travel. In addition, faceted panels have been constructed to the underside of the top, perhaps as a decorative strengthening feature.
